Throughout my recovery from brain surgery I have taken daily walks with the dog. Lots of these images are from the sights we encountered on our adventures, mostly around Argyll. There are also some images of the Greek mythological creature, the hippocampus. This was part of the brain that got removed along with the right temporal lobe. I painted it to mark the end of my withdrawal from epilepsy medication.
The unicorns represent the belief in magical things and the power of our dreams.
The first book I read while recovering was A Street Cat Named Bob. It gave me the drive to start painting again and therefore Bob was the first painting that emerged during my recovery.
