These portraits represent significant events such as a child portrait to mark my dad’s 80th birthday and my nephew’s first Christmas. The portrait of the nurse was done using mixed media at the start of lockdown, it is made with cracklepaste, metal cogs and acrylic paint. The purple and orange pastel painting was done for Epilepsy Awareness Day (Purple Day), it is a portrait of St Valentine, the patron saint of epilepsy. The graphite drawing is of my granddad in the Second World War and was done for the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

The drawing of the Epilepsy Surgery Friends portraits was done to say thank you for the help I received from the support group whilst going through the surgery programme.
