Abstract and Neurographics

Neurography was discovered and developed by Pavel Piskarev, a Russian psychologist and creativity entrepreneur. It is an art technique designed to show our emotional responses and interpretation of the world. It is often used as an art therapy. I am always surprised by how each one comes out. The majority of these creations have been made using felt tip pen and paper. For myself they represent the tests and scans that I went through in order to undergo brain surgery. They also show the activity or electricity in the brain during epileptic seizures.

The second piece of work in this collection was done for The Dochas Carer’s Centre in Lochgilphead, Argyll for their 25th anniversary and is currently on display in the centre.

Please feel free to browse around my work. Several of these designs are available as greetings cards and A4 prints. The brain drawings are also available as coasters and mugs. They are one of my best sellers and feedback from customers say they are good for learning about the brain.
